The SGSGROUP located in Ponta Grossa in the state of Paraná, close by the biggest (greatest) industrial pole of processing and refinement of soy (soy-beans) and its derivates has expressive presence in the Oil chemical segment, since 1994, supplying raw material for several international and national industrial markets.It also has a productive unit of polymers in São Sebastião do Caí in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, actuating in the market, varnishes, adhesive and plasticizers for several applications. Due to its strategic localization, it has excellent logistics for its clients and suppliers facilitating provisions and supply of raw material, characterized by an industrial plant totally directed to products of vegetable origin, obtaining the Kosher Certification in the elaboration of conventional products and with Preserved Identity, or, non-transgenic products (GMO). The region where SGS is located is privileged by the geographical, climatic and environmental aspects; it has several areas of natural preservation, protected by the public patrimony.

A rich region in plantations of soy, wheat, corn and much other cultivation. It's served for highways and railways that are able to drain the productions having great (excellent) state and federal roads, with privileged localization, being only 90 kilometers far from the capital of the state and 190 Km far from the PARANAGUÁ Port, considered one of the biggest terminals of exportation process of soy and its derivatives of the country. The unit of production of Raw Fatty Acid, from the hydrolysis of the sub product of refinement of soy oil had its activities begun in 1994, being the first continuous plant in the production of this raw material in the region. Strengthening its presence in the market and a continuous growth in its processes it has a goal to contemplate a greater spectrum in its products of vegetable origin; it searched new technologies for the process of soybean fatty acid.

In 1999 the SGS inaugurated its new plant of Cleavage and Distillation of fatty acid. Using German technology the unit produces distilled fatty acids with high quality and international patterns. The distilled fatty acids have many applications and it has in view to attend the nourishment market, inks and varnishes, fertilizers, chemicals, plasticizers, rubbers, resins, surfactants, esters, lubricants, dimers, cosmetics, biofuel, and many others. Several advantages characterize the distilled fatty acids as valuable basic raw material, being immediately biodegradable, renewable beyond its availability, stability and vegetable origin.
